Due to conditions such as an improperly sealed substrate or other hidden conditions, added labor and material costs may be applied.
• Cover and protect all furnishings and floors
• Hardware will be removed and reinstalled. Included in this category are: curtain rods, window latches, switch plates, and cover plates. Brushwork Painters will not remove doorknobs, thermostats, or alarm system hardware.
• Scrape, patch, and sand walls.
• Before the final coat of paint is applied, our team will re-inspect and path walls as needed.
• Any wall or ceiling cracks will be filled with a spackling compound. Once the compound has dried, we will sand it smooth. More advanced cracks will require an application of fiberglass joint tape, and will then be spackled and sanded as well.
• We will scrape and sand rough areas that have been created by a previous paint failure.
• All glossy surfaces and trim will be sanded and cleaned to assure proper paint adhesion.
• A stain sealer will be applied to water and tannin wood stains.
• We will apply caulk to any cracks in wood trim and along wall/trim interfaces.
• The work area will be cleaned up and vacuumed at the end of each workday. All debris will be taken away.
• At the completion of the job, any unused paint will be labeled and left at the job site for your use.
